The coaches at Soccer1on1 offer a diversity of playing experiences and unique training styles. The coaches work together to develop plans and training programs for our players to ensure we take advantage of everyones knowledge and depth of experiences to offer the best soccer development training in Metro Vancouver.

Farivar Torabi

Farivar is the owner and founder of Soccer1on1 and brings over 17 years of professional playing experience from around the world. Farivar's bachelor degree in psychology combined with his playing and coaching experiences help him in developing players to not only improve and perform at their best in soccer but also build confidence in themselves on and off the field. Farivar's training style is to infuse players with his passion and love for soccer so that player's enjoy the game first and then learn to work hard to achieve their goals.

Dr. Sajad Karami

Sajad holds a PhD in sports physiology (cardiovascular and respiratory). He is a licensed fitness instructor through federation Internationale de football association (FIFA) and has been working as a trainer and fitness instructor with professional soccer teams at premiere and division 1 level for the past decade. Sajad worked with the Iranian National Soccer Team (7-A-Side).
He teaches university exercise science and fitness. He is also a researcher of nutrition and sport supplements and exercise science and specializes in fitness planning for kids, elder and people with disabilities.

Joe Zupo

Joe brings a wealth of experience and passion to Soccer1on1 as a coach with professional experience in both soccer and education. His playing career has taken him to professional and semi-pro clubs in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and he is a NSCAA licensed coach with 12 years' experience with various age groups. He played at Queen's University where he was a four-time OUA All-Star and two-time CIS Academic All-Star where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and earned his Bachelor of Education from York University a year later. In between professional opportunities in football, Joe has taught full time in Ontario, where he is a licensed high school teacher

Houman Taba

Houman Taba, considered one of the top development coaches in BC, has achieved the highest success at all levels of the game in BC and has worked to develop players in all age groups 8 and up. He has been crafting his Player Development Method for the past 18 years. This development method is focused on enhancing player’s individual mental, cognitive & physical abilities within a team concept setting. With a rich track record of success, Houman Taba possesses the tools and knowledge to help players reach their highest potential.

Mo Rafiee

15 years of organized soccer experience in two different countries. Currently competing in Vancouver Metro Soccer League and have won two back to back championships with MAFC.

Two years of training experience Coaching with Soccer 1on1 and MAFC Academy focusing on professional development of youth.

Mostafa Karimi

Mostafa brings many years of professional playing experience from Thailand and Iran.

Jordan S.

Jordan played for a division one University in North Carolina.  She has battled some of the top athletes on today’s US Women’s National Team.   As a Center Midfielder Jordan led both her club and high school teams to winning both state titles her senior year.  She has been involved with youth programs in North Carolina, New York City and now Vancouver.  Jordan has traveled to over 60 countries and enjoys spreading her love and passion for the game all over the globe!
